- Bayes factor is a way to do model selection. It can help compare if a model is more suitable to describe a data set than another.
- Regression analysis is a process of estimating relationships between variables. Why the name? Here, have an interesting read. Apparently our good man was referring to a tendency for regression towards the mean in a measurement after a measured extreme, not the technique of analysis.
- Parameter identification problem: says that it is in principle not possible to estimate parameters in regression well.
And here I kinda need to estimate the parameters of an assumed Gaussian distribution. So I guess I will search a little further.
